Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is an effective treatment to decrease muscle tension and stress that can lead to injury, illness and chronic heath problems. Studies have shown that massage therapy can also be more effective in reducing pain than the use of pain medication.

Therapeutic Massage

The benefits of massage:

  • Alleviate low-back pain or neck pain
  • Ease discomfort in pregnancy: low back pain and sciatica;
    decrease swelling; promote better sleep.
  • Reduce pre- and post-surgery pain and swelling.
  • Help recover from strenuous workouts.
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion.
  • Reduce medication dependence.

Massage therapy can be performed as needed for acute symptoms;
however, massage is most effective when done on a regular basis.

About Beth Lanzisera

I have been a massage therapist since 1998 and have a combined credentialed background in physical therapy and nutrition. This previous experience gives me the advantage of an added level of knowledge about the body and a holistic perspective. My approach is integrated, which includes deep tissue, stretching and trigger point massage. I have completed training in myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, sports stretching, non-surgical treatment of the neck and shoulder. As of 2009, I became Nationally Certified where I had to qualify through experience, training, and a standardized national examination.
